Crispy Shredded Beef

Steps
  • Thinly slice the steak and place in a bowl (100g per person),Thinly slice the pepper and red chilli, finely chop the ginger (thumb sized piece for 3-4 people)
  • In a bowl mix together 4tbsp rice wine vinegar, 1-2tbsp soy sauce, 2-3tbsp sweet chilli, 2tbsp ketchup & 2tbsp water
  • In a separate bowl mix 5tbsp of corn flour with 1-2tsp of ground cinnamon and salt
  • Then take the sliced steak and mix with the corn flour (ensure its well coated)
  • Shallow fry the steak until crispy and set a side (Pat excess oil off with kitchen towel)
  • Fry 2 crushed garlic cloves in a pan with a little oil for 1-2mins (don’t burn the garlic)
  • Add the pepper, chilli & ginger to the pan and cook until softened, then add the sweet chilli sauce mix and reduce for 5-10mins on a medium heat
  • Add the beef to the pan and coat with the sauce
  • Serve with some egg noodles or egg fried rice
